On the website it said the estimated overall costs ( tuition , room and board, transport, personal stuff , books) is about 60000. In aid, I got about 50000. If you take out the loans, I got 43000 that I DON'T have to pay back . So basically I have to come up with 17000 because I refuse to take out loans of any kind . So is this good or bad aid ? Its still a lot for my dad I guess , but he had said that regardless of whether I got aid or not he'd pay for it anyway. I just don't want to put too much stress on him.

sounds like a really good deal to me. it seems like you’re only paying a little over 1/4 of the total cost - looks like a great financial aid package to me.

it’s a great aid package. most GW students don’t even get this good of an aid. plus this is most likely cheaper than any other schools you would’ve had to pay for if you didn’t ED (unless you got full rides). and in this present day, 17k is considered a real bargain at an institution like GW.

That’s fantastic. I didn’t get nearly as much aid.

oh okay good haha thanks guys !

my parents went to college in Nigeria and im the first child so we’re not sure what is considered good or bad aid .

im so happy we can afford it now. im seriously in love with GW

I consider any college that costs less than a state school to be a terrific bargain, for two reasons: 1) GWU is a billion times better than the best state school and 2) state schools are cheap!

So yes, i’d say you got a steal!
