Does anyone know how the GW financial aid is?

I'm like lower class...and I'm doing ed2. Do they have good financial aid?

Yes, I’m also worried about this, my household income last year was 90K and this year for 09 will be 55K due to the fact my father lost his job

Mine had $23k out of $27k for one semester covered in grants and scholarships. GW lied and said they ran out of institutional aid, which is b.s.

Only 4k in loans sounds great but you stated semester meaning 8k in loans a year (ouch).

GW was the most generous with financial aid compared to the other schools I applied to. I didn’t think I even qualified but applied for it anyway and was surprised.

thank you c:

Please see my post about the GWU financial aid office being a total nightmare. GWU will be generous relative to the total tuition amount. But most people who can’t afford the full or half tuition will have to seek loans of some sort and, as a result, you will have to deal with the GWU financial aid office. Trust me, it is a total nightmare dealing with them.

its NEVER been a nightmare for me dealing with loans…so i wouldnt characterize the entire staff ass being a nightmare

Nope. It has not.

In my experience, GW was great with financial aid. I received more from GW than I ever expected to considering my family’s income, and despite being the most expensive school I applied to, it ended up being the cheapest for me in the end.
