I'm a Biology major, currently attending Northeastern University. I'm applying to Cornell (several others as well, but Cornell's my big "reach" school) as a transfer, and I just want to get an opinion of what my chances are.

High School (In HS, I was planning to go into law right up until 2nd semester Freshman year, so my math/science background is rather weak)
3.67 GPA
AP Biology-5
AP English-4
AP US History-4
AP US Gov+Pol-4
AP English Literature-3
SATs:
730 Critical Reading
570 Math (probably disqualifies me right off the bat)
730 Writing
Biology: 760
US History: 710

EC's: (particularly pitiful)
-Mock Trial all four years; earned Varsity Letter, was a team leader, played the Defendant, witnesses, Cross-Examination, the timekeeper, and earned a Most Improved award
-Student Council

I helped run a campaign for State Representative from my town; I was responsible for signage and grassroots campaigning, in person and telephone.

I worked two jobs throughout: I was a file manager at an ophthalmology clinic and a food runner at a restaurant.

College:
3.45 first semester. It's higher this semester, but that obviously won't come into account in the transfer app.

EC's:
Pre-Med Club
Biology Club
Times New Roman humor magazine- writer, contributing editor
NUSTAND- human rights club

I also work in an Endocrinology research lab; I do animal care and remove brains and other important organs for study (Manduca sexta and tribolium, for anyone wondering), and have certified training in handling of dangerous chemicals and biologics, and non-radiation worker radiation safety

I'm sending in two recommendations, including the pre-med advisor, in addition to high school.
