the past three weeks ive gotten so much mail from colleges. some of they say something about my academic achievement. where do they get my academic info from? is it something i filled out on college board? or my psat score? how do they know i want to work with medicine? i only got a 1500 on my psat

They probably got your info from the information you gave when you took the PSAT. I get stuff all the time (8 letters today alone D:) because I gave my email and address to the ACT people.
I read them just to see what’s out there, but I keep in mind the fact that I just got it because my info matched the infor they look for, and it had nothing to do with my score.
They send those letters out to try to get more people to apply, thus their acceptance rates drop, making them look better. It’s all a numbers game.

Oh and that random smiley is a typo. Oops.

It’s probably because you have a lot of strong credentials (like SATI score perhaps) and you’ve indicated you want to go into medicine on one of those questionnaires they give out during some exams.

It’s generally a good thing…just remember to recycle!
