Summer has come to its end, and now school is starting for me tomorrow (Monday).

Last year as a freshman in HS, I had a 1" binder for each of my 5 classes. That way of organization seemed to work well, and I would like to do that again. But this year I have 8 classes... so how can i fit 8 binders into my bookbag AND carry textbooks home? ._.;; I already tried putting the binders in, and they all won't fit... Anyone know how I can organize myself with these binders/textbooks? :D. And I can't depend on my locker, because I'll have to take EVERYTHING home everyday (I will always have hw...). Any tips on how I can make this work? THANKS :D

And does anyone know what I might need? I don't get any supply lists, and I dont remember what I got last year..
So far, I got all of my binders, pencils, pens, paper, composition books, graphing paper, colored pencils, highlighters, glue, calculator.. do you think I need anything else?

Do you have block scheduling? If so, just make 1 binder for block day A & one for block day B. If not, maybe pair up 2 classes that are consecutive in a binder (first hour & second hour together, etc).
I’m not trying to be rude, but you need glue in HS haha?! Anyway, goodluck.

No, I don’t have a block schedule… But I’m sure all classes need a binder. They are all academic classes, and last year, all of my binders were really full… And I really hate sharing binders with other classes, because all of the binders need dividers, and 2 sets of dividers in 1 binder is kind of… not organized. And I think I get occasional binder checks for some classes…

And yes, I need glue because I’m taking engineering. I took another engineering class last year and used a ton of it… a TON.

Robodl95, I actually do clean out some of my binders of things I don’t need… but that’s only after the semester ends. So I clean them out once a year… because I need to keep everything in there, until the teacher says I can throw some out.

That’s a lot of binders to carry around I have ONE for 6 academic classes, and those are all honors/AP. If you stay organized it isn’t too hard. I usually have the 5-Star notebook/binder hybrid for stuff we’re currently working on, and then I have an accordion folder to organize graded tests and papers that I keep in my locker. That’s just too much stuff to carry! I take my binder and laptop and I’m good to go Haha.

You’re starting school tomorrow… o_o
I start school exactly one month from now.

I just use folders unless the teacher requires a binder. I stay pretty organized (except for AP U.S. History last year; that folder was a monster). Do you need to carry your textbooks around with you? You might want to consider getting a homework folder where you can put everything you need for home at the end of the day. You’re not going to need every sheet you’ve ever received for every homework assignment, right?

First day of school i just carry a binder or folder and the teachers give us a syllabus with materials that we will need in the class. Most students at my school just wait for the syllabus, then go shop. We are given 2 or 3 days to get all we need. We also have a block schedule, so it’s not as hard fitting binders in because we have have 4 classes one day, 4 the next. I usually clean papers out every semester, because my teachers are mean about keeping every single paper we get back. I just put them in files after each semester.

My friend found that using half inch binders for all the classes worked best. I don’t know how he did it with several AP classes, but he did it.
