So things are not looking good

Well, I started doing pretty well in high school. I had all As except one B freshman year (it was a half credit in health that I made up late in summer school so it doesn’t even count into my GPA but it still shows up on my transcript.) Sophomore year I had one C (summer school later) and a B (again, summer school). So technically, I had a 4.0 UW going into Junior year. I also took intensified classes when possible and had two APs by Junior year. However, I have TANKED my junior year. I am currently taking 6 AP/IB classes out of a possible 7. I will have most likely 2 As, 3 B+, and 2 B for my final grade. My UW will be a 3.76 and my weighted will be a 4.18.

This isn’t just a chance kind of this. I tried challenging myself by taking as many advance classes as possible, do you think admission would be considerate of that fact? By graduation next year, I will have 11 IB/AP (15 if you count classes that are two years) courses under my belt. By the time I apply, I will have 8. I also have good SAT scores and decent extra stuff.

Nobody can tell you if you will be accepted or not. of course, admissions considers the difficulty of courses taken, but as you know admission to Barnard is very competitive. All you can do is apply and also find other schools which you would be happy attending. Hang in there!
