<p>Yeah, count me as another parent who has several kick-$$$ essays in mind, but is fighting mightily with the zipper on my mouth. Maybe it's the luxury of being able to sit back and contemplate the progress he has made over the years, and since I'm not living it, being detached enough to see the big picture.</p>
<p>And my problem is the opposite. S is an excellent writer (plans to pursue playwriting) and keeps on changing his essay/s! I think I am just going to hijack a couple of his essays, lock his common app. and risk a major family feud. After all, my sanity is at stake :).</p>
<p>My d wouldn't let me look at her application at all last year including her essays. She applied to an ivy. When it was all over and ahe was admitted ed I read her essay she wrote about the person she admired the most and there were three typos. She probably typed it online really late and she just missed them. The essay was touching and the typos obviously didn't matter.</p>
<p>And I just caught my own typo too late but then I'm lousy at keyboarding.</p>
