<p>I'm a US citizen living in a South-Asian country. Now, will I be treated as a part of the international students' pool or the US applicants' pool? Or is there an entirely different pool for US citizens living abroad entirely?</p>

<p>No, I just have a US passport, and a permanent visa to this country (which basically expires when my passport does, and gets renewed along with the passport, too)</p>
