Title says it all. As for me, I'm kinda getting used to all the walking. It's amazing how many people I saw that I recognized. Hume's tight security measures are restrictive, but it is way cleaner than the other dorms, and the bathroom convenience makes it a good deal in the long run.
All in all, I think I'm gonna like this place.

I came here for summer b and am back for fall and am REALLY glad that I picked UF over a smaller school b/c there's so much to do and so many people to hang out with. The girls on my floor for both summer and fall so far have been really sweet, friendly, funny, etc. The transition definitely wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I think I'll like UF, too. I am definitely ready for rush (for girls) to be over with though. I'm not rushing, but I want my summer b friends who are rushing back so they can hang out/go out with me! :( o and I'm pretty excited for clubs and classes to start, too. I'm getting a little bored...

i think its great so far everyone is really friendly for the most part

The people in my section this year seem nice. Hopefully there is no problems this year.

pretty crazy.
Hume dosn't seem any tighter then any of the other halls. I've been up there a few times.

uhh what do you do if u sprained your ankle?

Go to the clinic?

I just transferred in from a CC, what a transition! So much walking, so many people, I actually feel kind of overwhelmed. It's all right so far, I guess. I just have to get used to it.

So does anyone want to share their thoughts on their classes after tomorrow (which happens to be my birthday as well)?

i hate anatomy today, the only class i had, with tillman and i think im going to like it. he is funny and ive always loved anatomy, so it should be a good class. ill post tomorrow, i have a full day for classes :(

GLY 1000- VERY easy. I wasn't really expecting it to be very hard, but our first lab kind of reminded me of arts and crafts back in elementary school. (We broke into groups and made timelines of the earth w/ construction paper)

GLY 1002- Age of Dinos. enough said.

POS 2041- American Federal Gov. It's a pretty easy class/ mostly review of stuff I've learned in AP and IB history classes and International Relations over the summer...and the professor kind of reminds me of that really excited guy in the OBT commercials. lol.

STA 2023- I'm taking it online and love not having to go to class. pretty easy so far.

Conditioning- fun :)

haha. i love my schedule! :)

Wow, Amanda, it looks like you'll be getting easy A's this semester, huh?

As for me, I'm the type of person who takes a challenging courseload because I don't like wasting my time learning about something I'll eventually forget or something I'll never use. So my courseload is going to look quite difficult for a freshman

STA 3024 - Intro to Stats 2. So far, so good. We've just been going over everything that we were supposed to have learned in STA 2023/AP Stats

PHY 2060 - Honors Physics with Calc 1. Might seem hard, but it is basically a review of the stuff for me, plus I like to solve challenging problems. So far, I've learned not to rush and actually write down my thought processes as not doing so causes me to fumble quite often. Looking forward to the relativity stuff, which is new for me.

ECO 2013 - Macroeconomics. It's an online class. I shouldn't have much problems since I took AP Micro

PHY 2048L - Should be an easy A if I follow directions.

MAC 3474 - Honors Calc 3. So far, this class feels like precalculus. We've just been going over dot products and how to add vectors. And did I mention grades are 100% tests, which are all open book and open notes?

I believe my greatest challenge this year will be finding friends...

That was something that I was surprised about (having my grades based solely on exams).

Beware: Open note and open book exams may be the hardest exams you'll ever take, especially for engineering...

I've heard about those. I'll try to find some of my professor's old exams and assess their difficulty

Get a bike, it helps.
I agree finding friends is hard, I've met a lot of people though.
