So what's the rule with college clothing?

What's the general rule with college clothing?

Such as, do you wear the sweater of the colleges you want to go to? Or do you just wear the sweater of your final choice?

I was planning to wear the sweaters/shirts of my final choices sporadically, and then I'd tell everyone on a certain day I'll make my decision known by wearing the shirt/sweater.

there are rules to stuff like that? Just another reason to be terrified of senior year.

lol..there arent any..i think op is just a little overexcited..

get a life......and wear what you want, ps. you might get arrested if you wear your final choice sweatshirt but dont get in!

Get a life? Someone must have had a bad day today.
And I'm not stupid, I would wear the shirts of the colleges that already accepted me.

do you mean sweatshirts when you say sweaters?

i would only wear sweatshirt to place i was attending

seeing the half a dozen clueless(yet nerdy looking) freshman walking around schoo halls wearing harvard sweatshirts is kind of amusing though

I wear the shirts of anyplace I have connections to (parents, brothers, cousins, etc.) and any place I liked. And of course, where I'm attending. I have no qualms of wearing shirts to colleges I'm not going to.

Sweatshirts/sweaters same thing right

whaaaaaaat?! dude, sweaters are like wool and sweatshirts are like..fleece or something

I've been wearing UCLA since...well it has been a long time. It's ok if you root for their sports teams. I am a diehard UCLA fan, and it will definitely be funny if I choose another school.

the only real rule (and its not really real) Is if you're accepted ED, dont wear that college's sweatshirt until april 1 (RD time). It would be impolite to flaunt it.

Well, then my friend has broken the "real rule." He got in to Stanford and is being the most arrogant loser ever. He is my good friend so I put up with it, but he really is being an *******. I am the total opposite of him: I always try to be considerate of others and avoid flaunting. Once I get rejected from Stanford/Harvard/Dartmouth/Amherst/UCB/UCLA, then he can say whatever he wants.

"the only real rule (and its not really real) Is if you're accepted ED, dont wear that college's sweatshirt until april 1 (RD time). It would be impolite to flaunt it."

Yeahh.... nobody follows that one at my school.

The only real rule is don't wear the shirt of a place you haven't been accepted to.

you mean like rejected? yeah that would be stupid...

You can wear the sweatshirt of your ED school if no one else applied ED. If they did and didn't get in, then it's just mean and obnoxious.

if you get rejected from the school still wear the shirt but get white letterring that says REJECTED, that would be so amusing to see someone walk to school with that on

hahaha nice one justperfect but kids here and kids during summmer school just wore hoodies with colleges they liked or just went to colleges just to get hoodies

My mom (who works at a University near us) was talking to a student who said that her private school's administration doesn't let them wear sweatshirts until they are accepted to a college and then only for the college where they were accepted.

That seems a little overkill to me.
