Me- Old for sure. 1480 sounds way better than 2100. lol.

I think the old sats were easier. I was practicing with one of them, and it was SO much easier. the questions were a bit more straightforward and easier.

I vote old as well... the curve was a bit nicer, there was less to study, and for verbal it was so much easier to get an 800 (you just had to know a lot of vocab). The curve for verbal used to be like -5 equals 800 (sometimes). Since I don't have a problem with vocab, 1600 would be easily attainable. But then they had to make the curves worse, add a whole new section, and now the possibility of 2400 is there, just not as pronounced.

Writing section is pretty easy, but I think the CR is too hard. Overall, I'd say I like it due to writing boosting my scoresg

Old-4.

I've only taken practice tests of both (Have my brothers' old books) and the Old SAT is a lot easier. The math, etc. And I'm actually really good at analogies, so I was sad to see those go.

It is kinda unfair for those students who are strong in english and not math/science. They get two sections, while us strong math students only get one section. To make it fair, they should count math more or something. Anyways, I got a 1560 old, and a 2250 New.... 1560 is so much more impressive! (BTw, i got a 690 writing which kills me, cuz i was praying for a 700).

I didn't take old, but if there were no writing section I would've aced both PSAT and SAT, so I guess I like the old one?

Old without question, Analogies were easy and writing section sucks. Also I cant tell people I got a 1600 or they think I got that on three sections. Have to say 2250 which, though really good is no 1600.

Definitely a fan of the old SAT.

For some reason, I think the critical reading in the Old Sats was much harder than the ones in the New Sats.

I never took the old SAT, but I can't imagine myself liking that analogy section. I always sucked at those.
