so excited.
I got an email, because apparently they "couldn't keep the good news to themselves any longer" heh
I'd like to talk with other 2010ers ... i havent heard from a lot of my colleges yet but i am/will definitely be considering oberlin.</p>

<p>Full IB diploma (4HLS)... aka toughest courseload possible. School doesn't do GPA or rank, but I had mainly As.
SATI: 2080
SAT IIs: Math IC and IIC: 770. French: 600 (big mess up)
In my acceptance email they said I had a 'very impressive' "WHY oberlin?" essay. I'm glad they actually read that haha.
Umm... pretty good ECs with a couple of leadership positions.
I never read my recs, but i think they were pretty good.</p>

<p>Do you think it's a bad indication if you haven't got any sort of notification yet? Or are they just staggering the acceptance/rejection emails for their own convenience? I'm getting nervous. My friend overseas just emailed me that he's in, but I haven't gotten anything.
So no one has gotten actual mail, just email?</p>
<p>The notification date listed on their website is April 1, so these are really early. It doesn't suprise me that they would send out early acceptances to their top picks, but it does seem really odd that people are being rejected already, too.</p>
<p>i guess you could surmise that the clear cut favorites and... uh.. not so favorites are getting notified first and the people that they are less sure about get a little more deliberating. or its just random.</p>
<p>does anyone know when the conservatory is releasing its decisions? I'm really hoping that's why I haven't heard from oberlin, because I thought I had competitive stats (2280 SAT, 800, 760 and 740 SAT II etc...) Argh</p>

<p>an officer at intel admission said they only "sent out decision to all but a handful of students", so i guess you guys just have to wait a little bit more :)</p>
