I am! It's been my dream to live in New York (applying to three schools there!) and I love the Jesuit education system. Plus, it's probably the only college in New York I can get into and afford (if I get some nice aid).

I will be applying (along with Providence, Loyola, as my top 3). I’m from the NY suburbs and visited in the fall. Going for another visit in early July. Fordham may be a slight reach for me - GPA is on the mark, as is (I think) my HS curriculum, however my SAT math is below their 25%. My reading / writing is at their 75% so not sure how it will turn out.

Re-taking the SAT in the fall but I think I can take it 100 times and my math score will always be lousy LOL. I would be thrilled to be accepted to Fordham.

Me too! I’m from Texas. My GPA is right on the mark too and my SAT is in their range/a little better. I’m taking it again as well, but mostly for the other schools I am applying to/possible scholarships.

Hope you get accepted!

Me too! I’m from massachussetts and I’m actually the opposite: 1990 sats but around a 3.4/3.5 (Haven’t finalized my grades for this year…) But I’ve taken 3 honors and I have 3 APs and an honors next year. This seems like such a cool school though… Lincoln Center or Rose Hill? This is what I don’t know. But I’m planning to go into International studies.

Me! I’m from Dallas. I don’t know if I’ll go if I get in, but I love NY and Fordham seems like a good fit for me :)

luciadora- When you decide between LC and RH, pay attention to what major is offered at each campus. Check the Fordham website because I believe that Int’l Studies is only at LC while RH has an Int’l Political Economy major. In addition, the two campuses have very different feels (LC is a small campus in Manhattan while RH is a traditional campus in the Bronx) so if you are undecided, I’d suggest you visit them both to find the right fit for you.

^^^Definitely visit both if you are unsure! And keep in mind that it IS possible to transfer between LC and RH even before you start if you feel you made the wrong choice and your major is offered at the other campus! It is easier, however, to transfer from LC to RH due to housing.

I visited during spring break and I think I like LC better. Never been a “traditional” campus type of guy. I like to be able to get out to the city quickly and have everything close.

Me! My gpa is like a 3.7nw and I have a 2240 sat so I’m not too worried. Plus I have over 1000 hours of extracurriculars

Nice! I also have a 3.7~ GPA but just a 2040 SAT (retaking). However, I am an URM and got the Hispanic Recognition Program award, so I am not that worried either. According to many CC posts, Fordham gives full rides to the winners of that program.

My ECs are average though, and I have no idea about hours.

Confirming the post above. International Studies is ONLY offered at Lincoln Center. The equivalent is International Political Economy at Rose Hill. International Studies offers regional tracks, but that part of the program is not developed. It’s a relatively new program and it doesn’t have a department of its own (ran out of the politics department; with directors from each of its encompassing departments), so it really doesn’t get the attention that it deserves. They are looking to strengthen it, but I think it is still a while away from being reputable and strong, especially since there is a considerable difference between International Relations and International Studies. The former being more political policy orientated (and, imo, stronger and more relevant), the latter being an interdisciplinary study of multiple subfields.

I’m going to be doing Comp Sci but I’ll be at LC because I love the idea of being in the middle of Manhattan. I’m only going to be in campus for sleeping/studying/classes, so for me a pretty campus isn’t needed. However, Rose Hill is a beautiful campus and perfect for people that like traditional college campuses.

I’m most likely going to be applying next year. I’m probably going to go in undecided, but leaning towards a possible history or journalism major. I’m just hesitant because i’m not catholic or overly religious, are all you guys catholic?

I’m Catholic but a pretty apathetic Catholic at that…lol I don’t even go to a Catholic church anymore, I go to an Episcopal one. I haven’t visited Fordham but I have friends there and they say religion is never a problem there, so I think you’d be fine.

Yeah I am pretty much an atheist and I’m not even worried. It’s New York after all.

Very true. Are you guys applying to rose hill?
