So who is taking the SAT in Jan 27, compile a list of names so we can discuss methods?

I AM TAKING JAN SAT. NEEDED MORE WORDs.

Taking Jan SAT...I'm dead, SO unprepared =(

I am taking Jan too.

I'm taking the SAT for the first time in January. I'm so nervous!

Me too. Now I'm memorizing words... as many as I can. Hope it will turn out some good for me on a real exam. I'm learning about 250 a day... =)) Btw, anyone need a list of 5000 words (in PDF)? Or you can dowload it from freevocabulary.com.

Taking it for first time

Taking it in Jan. maybe the last time. I really really really want to get into JHU, and if I get rejected this time around, I am going to HOPEFULLY transfer either during sophomore or junior year. If I don't get the score I want on this Jan. test I may take it again at the end of my senior year, or maybe again in college.

LETS STUDY TOGETHER!!! POST YOUR AIM OR SOMETHING SO WE CAN CHAT ABOUT STRATEGIES,QUESTIONS OR ANYTHING ELSE RELATED!

MY AIM : sols3k

solsek, and what time already do you retake the test?
My strategy is to learn words by heart... I guess it's the best thing I can do now, unless there's even more successful approach to get high scores. =)) And I practice a lot with books and other stuff.

around what score do you need for jhu

I'm taking the SAT for the first time this January, and I'm slightly apprehensive, partly due to the fact that I don't know how exactly I should be prepping. Anyone have suggestions?

Also, how accurate an estimate are PSAT scores for SAT scores?

I'm taking it

???
Why don't colleges just look at ACT Math ACT Reading
and match those scores on a SAT Math/Verbal chart

I got a 34Math and 33Rdg which would be like a 1500 probably
instead of looking at my 30 composite--I mean the SAT doesn't even have science in it

I;m taking it too for the first time

taking jan 27-2nd time

I am going to be takingf it for the first time. I'm slightly nervous. How do you prepare for the test? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm taking it too and I'm scared because I totally BOMBED the PSAT :(

yeah discussing strategies on aim seems like a awesome idea solsek!
my AIM: elisa824

taking it too for the first time...yeah i need preparation advice too..seriously JUST starting to study for reals..

i'm also retaking sat this jan and haven't started anythuing yet.. i mean i dont know where should i start from.should i do everything i did last time or just reviewing the tests will be enough?? i m so confused..

i'm taking it too for the first time.

i got 240 on the psats, but i got two wrong on CR so i hope it doesn't compound.

i'll be taking 14 practice tests to prepare, 8 from the official guide and 6 from the online course. i have all the answers, so i'll go back and correct my mistakes each day. this method sure worked for psats and chemistry.

I'm taking the January SAT, it will be my second time. I'm hoping to improve in writing, and get my score in the 2000's.
