So who's definitely attending in the fall?

i dont know whether i should attend... michigan was my safety but now the more i look into it, the more i like it! i would be totally content if i got enough financial aid to go there... sigh. what to do?!

When do we get housing info.-i sent in the $200 deposit about a month ago and they said early in march....this needs to be official...NOW...theres only 2 negative aspects of michigan i can think of....$$$$$$$$ and size....besides that...i love everything else...the campus is beautiful...

I'm definitely going, got admitted last week.

~excited

....its Too Cold!

:(

So who's already ready to start rioting after football games and such? Flipping cars and burning down stuff? I know i am ready.

iollloi,

Why is an Ohio State admitee posting on the U of M thread?

? I'm not an OSU admitee.

He's teasing you, iolllloi. In answer to your rioting joke.

It's hard to detect sarcasm over the internet.

But anyways...back to the rioting...whos down?

as for me, i applied to 15 other schools besides michigan so im obviously not going to commit to anywheres before mid april... but michigan is close to the top based on my preferences...

Is there something worng with me? The more time goes by the more I like Michigan. Today, I received a postcard from them listing the dates they would be holding receptions around the state for those accepted from each area so that the acceptees can get to know each other. I swear that I love them for that, and i think that I may definately be going to one of them (one's about twenty to thirty minutes away so...).

Go for it! I graduated 30 years ago and I still go back to Ann Arbor whenever I can. Hell, I still go back to Village Corner to buy wine, although when I was in attendance it was always beer. Everyone I know that went to U of M speaks highly of both the school and Ann Arbor.

Everything you could possible want is at U of M - the biggest difference between U of M and smaller schools, is that you have to seek things out, they won't come find you.

Be active, be a seeker. It will be a wonderful 4 years that will pass much too quickly.

It kills me and W that neither of our 1st 2 children went, or will be going, to U of M. Child #3 has been told that it doesn't matter, he will be going to U of M.

Reeses, take your time, visit both campuses as much as you can and get a feel for both school. They are so different that in the end, only one will feel like home.

i got accepted to mich but i also applied to washu, nyu stern, and unc so i'm gonna wait until i get my decisions from there. If I got into all of them, my preference would probably be: nyu stern, unc, umich/washu. i also applied to lehigh/syracuse/gw but i would go to umich before any of those schools.

Alexandre - There might not even be the option of Northwestern in the end. I may not even get accepted. However, I will be going to a basketball game at NU in about two weeks (just for fun) so I'll kind of have a chance to scope the place out again. The Michigan reception that I'm thinking about going to is about a week after that so I'll have a chance to see what the student body at NU is currently like as well as what the prospective future student body will be like for Michigan in close proximity. I'm also thinking about attending Campus Day over my spring break (first week in April), and if I do get into NU, they hold something similar called Preview NU on campus so there will certainly be some comparing going on this spring for me.

PS: No decision will be made until I get a decision from Northwestern.

I too have to wait till April decisions come in to decide for sure where I will end up. Right now there are 2 colleges that are my hands-down top choices, so if I get into either of them I will head there. But since they are both extremely hard to get into, I doubt that will happen. Otherwise it's up in the air right now. I hope to do a lot of campus visitng come April!

Collegehopeful, what are those two schools...and what do you intend to major in?

still waiting for decision from uchicago which comes in april, but even then, i will still have major struggles choosing between the two schools....

If I get into UVA, I'm enrolling. Even if Yale and Princeton accept me, I'm at UVA, My dad won't like it, but that's his problem.
