SO worried.

I just applied for the FALL08' semester for Loyola Marymount University (LMU). I'm pretty uncertain if I'm going to get in or not so tell me what you guys think:

I am applying as a Political Science major out of College of the Canyons, a local junior college.

White/Caucasian
3.0 AVG GPA on 13 units applying with/21 completed upon entrance into LMU
HITE/HONORS Program
1710/2400 on SAT's

Extracurriculars:
-Model United Nations Team/ Won Outstanding Delegate award first conference ever attended/ invited back to staff the conference at a later date (PAXMUN)
-Cashier at Ralphs for 3 years, put in my app. that I was working and attending school at the same time, working 30+ hours a week.
-Employed by United States Congress as an intern for Congressman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon
-Football player and soccer player 4 years throughout high school

I felt my essays were very good, and my letters of reccomendation were positively beaming about me. I personally felt they were the best letters I've ever read. One was from my Political Science/Model UN teacher and the other was from an old high school teacher, both PhD holders and well versed in the fields of politics and law, respectively.

What do you guys think? I understand my GPA is not strong enough, and I'm pretty scared about getting in. I'm just hoping my extracurriculars will get me in.

I love LMU! It has a beautiful campus, you're really shooting for a great school!

Yeah, your GPA is definitely a little low (standard is about 3.4-3.6), but I wouldn't count you out just yet. LMU as a school is pretty big on community service and extracurricular involvement, and not many applicants can say they interned for a Congressman.

I don't know when you find out, or any of the deadlines for LMU, but good luck sir!

BUMP Anymore feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
