So your AP class is over...

Uh, let's see.
AP exams cost $100 each at our school this year, a $17 increase!!!! ) :
Though I did get a 20% discount because I'm taking 4 AP's this year... I know a kid who's taking 6 this year because his AP Spanish exam was "free." Bleh

So anyways, we also had finals to do, but we're not doing anything right now:
1. Calculus: Spent two saturday mornings in a row taking practice AP's. One of those counted as our final. We watched Good Will Hunting today and were told to bring a good book for the rest of the classes ...
2. English: Listening to presentations. Taking a final next week...
3. Government: Had it first semester, so it doesn't really apply. Though second semester class is just goofing off and playing jeapardy-style games.
4. Economics: Our teacher was smart and had us take our class final a day before the AP test, which is tomorrow. From now on, we will be having "digestion labs" in our classes...

That sums up my school. Ah, the thrills of senioritis rolls eyes

but the teacher feels as if bc it wasnt "announced", it isnt fair

any ideas?

The state of MN subsidize every AP Exam for anyone! This year one AP Exam cost me $11! Last year was $22 per exam!

are you serious? i paid for 5 tests this year: 5 X $85 = $$425.
last year was the same, unfortunately.

AHAHAHA.

Actually, my Euro class isn't over at all. We were only at the Russian Revolution when we took the test.

Our final is a ten-page, heavily sourced paper that's supposed to be a prediction of the future of the EU.

For Lang, it's a 15-minute presentation on a literary era/author/something similar. With lots of research as well, of course.

yeah in most of my classes, we play guitar hero or tekken.

what about calc classes?
anyone get out of that one?

I have a project due next week for APUSH and he's making the final cover a few chapters, not everything we learned

I still have a book to read for AP English Lang and a final in class essay for the final. We also have to do portfolio evaluations. She's not letting us take it easy.

we took our finals before ap tests, and now were done. movies/ipod/psp in geography, history, and language arts. at our school we don't pay a dime for our tests, unless we don't take them.

english- one final project
calc- pretty much nothing 'cept a sprinkle of BC stuff
history- movies but we have a final. so lame
chem- labs

APUSH - "Current Issues" project for our final exam grade, which is 10% of our course grade.

AP English Language - MC critical reading objective test. We might read Gatsby as a class until then, but other than that, relatively low-key nonactivities are probably in order.

chem- nothing/sleep
ushist- movies
psych-skits
eng-fill out college apps

In AP Biology we are doing a project, and in English Lang we're doing a thematic interpretation speech as our final.

we still gunna have a school final which sucks..... but we are going to disect a cat soon =)

Agh, project for AP US on the history of our hometown...although more specifics than that, of course. Another thing to add to my growing pile of work to do before classes end...which is next Tuesday.

Physics B - nothing except writing a letter to next year's students
Lit - we each got to choose a topic for a final project
Env Science - watching Planet Earth and going on a 6 mile hike tomorrow :)

Multivariable (isn't an AP, I know) - we are taking a !@#$in four day final so that we can place out in college. Honestly, I'll be taking it again, so I'm kind of miffed at this.

Finals in all of my AP classes still. Boo.

Physics- Making Bottle Rockets.
Calc- Final project, teaching the class about a topic.
Econ- Not sure yet =(

My son's AP Physics class still has to take NYS regents exam the LAST week of June. He has to Take it even though he took it Last year and got a 95!!It counts as a 5th quarter in his grade so skipping it would average in a zero!! I know he will not study for it(he is annoyed at having to repeat it) so I cannot imagine what he will score since it is the hardest NYS regents!
