SOC 120 - Marriage and Family Textbook

<p>Hi there! I was just wondering if anybody that's taken this class before could tell me if I should buy the <em>recommended</em> (not talking about the required one) textbook for the course. It's a reader, which I'm guessing is supposed to help me with the class. Also, is the book still "Public and Private families: an introduction" by Cherlin? I've checked online, but scared it will change because I am ordering my books soon.</p>

<p>you can always return the textbooks within 30 days for many stores. ask the professor directly would be your best bet.</p>

<p>Books that are recommended usually aren’t really needed, but they can come in handy if you’re looking to get ahead in class or better understand the material. I would buy it for peace of mind.</p>
