Soccer?

<p>Is anyone excited at all about soccer? I kind of enjoy watching soccer, and last year, I watched the College Cup (the men's NCAA soccer championship game), which UCSB was in but sadly lost in penalty kicks. Still, finishing #2 in the nation isn't bad :)</p>

<p>Anyway, is there any soccer spirit on campus? I'm thinking of checking out some of the games coming up (UCSB plays Riverside on Sunday). Also, the Big West league seems to be good for some competition between the UCs (UCSB, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside are in it, and UC Davis is officially joining in a couple of years).</p>

<p>I love watching soccer as well! Unfortunately, soccer is a bit too progressive for the American public, so it's not played very much on TV. Anyways, amen to the real football!</p>

<p>soccer has a big following here...the games are really fun, especially if you join Gaucho Locos.</p>
