Social atmosphere of Darthmouth? Completely frat-oriented?

Hi, I am considering applying to Dartmouth, but I wanted to find out what the social scene there was like first. Any comments? Thanks!

Jaimie, its pretty varied. There are people who never go to the frats, or are in a particular scene, such as the tabard (more liberal hippieish), panarchy (hipster), or outdoor scenes. There is also an off campus social scene and parties associated with those. The frats vary alot too, from the jocky theta delt to the urban/ hip-hop/ asian Tri-Kap. But the cool thing about the frats is everyone is always friendly and welcome, so you will go to alot of different houses (wherever there are parties) in a given night. Its almost like a city full of different bars, except everyone is crazy friendly and many people go everywhere.

Sounds good, slipper1234. Thanks for your input!

Slipper, isn't Theta Delt on probation? What happened with that?

Theta Delt, Tri-Delt placed on probation

hey, better than that frat in Colorado where they discovered that a girl they had thought had only passed out in an armchair had DIED. frat was totally disbanded, i think
