I was interviewed for and awarded the Social Justice scholarship (I would be minoring in Sociology), and after getting my Financial Aid award around a week ago, Loyola is pretty high up on my list.

I was wondering if anyone here had been through the Social Justice scholar program. I think they said something like seven people a year get it? I'm not sure on the exact figure, but it was around that many. Is it something that is noticeable in your everyday life at Loyola, or just a once a week thing?

I am very much interested in doing volunteer and community organization work in New Orleans, and the Social Justice scholarship is a pretty big draw for me, not just because of the scholarship itself, but because of the program. I have been in contact with some people at the university, but I was wondering if anyone here had any direct experience with it.
