So I recently got accepted as an Theatre Acting major and now as I try and consider every aspect and make the best choice on what college to attend, I was wondering what is the social life like at the LC campus?

I'm a very down to earth person but also very sociable. I'm definitely not opposed to going out and getting to know others and having a good time. I'm also very serious about my academics though. I've heard that because of the size of LC's campus, there tends be a lot of 'drama' among the students and the general environment. That is certainly not something I'm a fan of...

Anyways, any info or opinions on the social life at LC is greatly appreciated :)

Hey, JME1992! I know this isn’t really an answer to your question, so I apologize for that! But I’m also a Senior making decisions, & I was just wondering when you heard back from Fordham, and if you don’t mind me asking, in what area of the US you live. I’m just still waiting to hear back from them, so I’m curious when I can expect a letter, regardless of the outcome, ya know? Mail can be weird, and it’s only 2 days since you posted that and others have added Fordham to the 2012 acceptance list, but it still made me wonder.

CONGRATS on your acceptance by the way! :)

Hey Well I’m kind of an international student… I’m American but I live in Europe and I got a call from UPS about last Friday that something had arrived for me from a university. It then got delivered on Monday. So technically the letter itself had been here for almost a week now. Hope this helped!

Only accepted Theatre majors and academically “highly qualified” students have heard so far. Everyone else can expect to hear back in the end of the month.

Sorry that I have resisted posting on this thread but I have written SO many times about life at LC! The bottom line is that you will find drama at any and every college and it will be up to you to stay out of it. There are many happy LC students but overall the Theatre students at LC seem to be among the happiest bc they are very busy with theatre activities, happy to live in Manhattan, and are part of a community of “their” people right from the start. I know you live out of the country but a visit can be most beneficial at this time rather than making a decision based on things you have heard. If that is just not possible and you have specific questions about the Theatre program, feel free to ask! As you know, my S thinks Fordham is one of the best programs out there! :)
