Thats good that I will be able to build a good friend network at McGill despite the disadvantage I would have entering in U3 instead of U1 or U2 .btw since I also applied to UofT and UBC, how is the school work level there (in terms of doing well)? How hard is it to get integrated into those environments socially as a U3 transfer? Anybody know how the social scene is there?

to those worried about the apparent lack of school spirit in comparison to large American schools, here are a few friendly chants that most students learn in their first week. they are vile and explicit but they are harmless fun. i apologize in advance for any offense but i did not invent these (although i thoroughly enjoy them).

and to those of you that have every been to an NCAA football or basketball game… these are right on par with the student chants at those… so this is no different

(McGill Redmen vs. Concordia Stingers)

I’d rather be a Redmen than a fing Bumble Bee
I’d rather be a genius than flip burgers at McD’s
I wouldn’t wipe my ass with that Concordia degree
So f you Bumble Bees!

(McGill Redmen vs. Queens Golden Gaels)

I’d rather be a Redmen than a fing Golden Gael
I’d rather drink at peel pub than spend a night in jail
I’d rather have a beer than a fing ginger ale
So f*** you Golden Gaels!

(Frosh cheer)

McGill once, McGill twice, holy fing Jesus Christ
Wham bam, God damn, Son of a b st
Three cheers for McGill: F! F! F!
Three cheers for f**ing: McGill! McGill! McGill!
