Rutgers is one of my top option but I'm confused by the busing system and the separations of campuses. If I go to Rutgers, I will be living at SEBS on Cook campus probably. I went to the open house for SEBS and it seems relatively isolated... How close is it to bigger campuses and other people? Will this affect my social life? I heard places like college avenue is the place to be. I'm not a huge into parties but I still want to maybe try them out and have a social life and get involved.

If you aren’t a huge party goer, you don’t really want to live on College Ave. This is my second year living on Cook/Douglass. It’s a great mix, because College Ave is very close (about 20 minutes walking, depending on where you’re going, and depending on where you get on and off the bus and traffic, probably about a 7-15 minute bus ride), so it’s easy to go out, but you don’t have to be constantly surrounded by the noise and mess of parties. You get used to the separate campuses and the buses. I like it, because I never feel like I’m just one of the masses (except maybe football games), but there are always opportunities to meet new people and try new things.

“College Ave has diversity, social life, … place where people interact to establish a great Rutgers community, etc…” That’s what they tell you to advertise College Ave campus, but the truth is, you can find these aspects pretty much anywhere at Rutgers. Also, people get attacked and shot on College Ave every year.
