Social Life

I am glad to see that parties will be (for the most part) off campus. However, is “getting into” the ones at other schools hard? Will my D need to know a friend from HS to get it or is it a “friend of a friend” situation? Also, we are obviously not sending our D to Wellesley to become a trophy wife, but I am wondering if finding a boyfriend is difficult? Do girls have long term relationships or is it too difficult to maintain them? I just want to know what other people have experienced.

My D (now graduated) didn’t know a soul at Wellesley or in Boston. She ended up meeting lots of people at other schools, including a bf at MIT. She liked the separation - they were both serious students, but made “study dates” to get together and study a couple times a week. I would describe my D as an introvert (but not reclusive) and she managed. In fact, she was a lot more social in college than she was in high school, mainly because she found other students she had lots in common with.

A wellesley girl on YouTube said most of her friends use OKCupid, Tinder, Match, etc. to meet guys.
