Can anyone give me an idea of what the social life is like at Amherst? Thanks.

Lots of clubs and sports to get involved in. We're heavy in music, also... voice/instrument/anything you can think of.

Nightlife wise, those clubs/sports/music groups/whatever throw parties on weekends that usually open up the public after an hour or so. The social quad also hosts a lot of parties, in the 4/6 people suites. No shortage of parties, although one may consider them repetitive after a while. There is always the 5 college system to visit other schools and party there as well. Although usually you need to be on a guest list at other schools. It depends.

For sub-free people, there are a lot of sub-free activities on campus, such as Flicks movie nights, one move per weekend, concerts, or just staying in, I've never heard a sub-free kid complain of a lack of options on a Friday night.

Let me know if you want any specifics.
