yeah, and plz define time. like actually straighten or just like your bangs?

2010hopeful, iām applying as a new lower too, i donāt know what youāre talking about. The people on this thread said there was one annoying group, a popular group, an asian group, and a lot of people with friends from every group. I donāt see how thatās badā¦

I just donāt like the idea of āgroupsā. And how certain people hang out with certain people based on their which group their in. But I guess itās inevitable at all schools.

2010: those were only 2 groups in a whole class. reread that post, most people just hang out w/ whomever.

^ Thatās what I likeā¦

Opps, I guess I missed that part. I must have misread this whole thing.

It depends on when you wake up. I usually wake up around five so I have time to finish my homework, take a longish shower, brush my teeth and stuff, straighten my hair, do my make up, possibly go to walgreens (Iāve gone on a few 5:00 in the morning walgreens trips), and go to breakfast for about thirty five minutes. But somepeople donāt get up until like 7:50 (class starts at eight) they donāt have time.

I could never wake-up then go to Walgreens early in the morning. What time do most of the girls in your dorm wake-up? I usually wake up at 6:00. Sorry for being off-topic.

@ almost there: i heard that the āprep posseā was like, half the gradeā¦ and that theyāre sort of annoyingā¦

thanks almost there

Most people in my dorm (preps at least) wake up at about six fifty and we leave to go to breakfast at 7:20.

About prep posse some people are really d-bagish and annoying but some of them are really nice.

At Exeter, besides the massive groups, like prep posse and asian mafia, there are a lot of smaller groups of friends. No, there not ever based on race like the OP asked. Sometimes there based on dorm, like the lamonsters, but most of the time there just people you have fun with. Prep posse kids arenāt really more popular, in that theyāre not necessarily more well liked, but they do spend a lot of their time socializing. Most kids at exeter are interesting on their own, so I try to hang out with different people not different groups. Each group has its own characteristics though, itās a pretty interesting phenomenon, these cliques.

Yeah one of the reasons dorms like lamont have their own groups is because some dorms have more preps in them than others.? Like in lamont almost half of the dorm is made up of preps.

In my experience, I loved andover when I first arrived because of the lack of ācliquesā. I dont know if this is the case at other schools, but I had the chance to meet lots of different people, from many backgrounds, different races. Especially at Andover or similar schools, everyone has a lot of different interests and talentsā¦ so those who would be ājocksā still have friends in music and theater, for example, and same with any other group of people. So theres lots of intermingling like that. Of course there is some degree of self-segregation and friend groups too, that is only natural. In general, the boarding experience makes you a lot closer to your peers because you live/work/play with each other so by senior year our class was one big family :)
