When I visited Exeter, it was quite the contrary to what everyone stereotypes it to be. Of course the kids are really smart there, but I saw my fair share of pretty people. There was a good amount of “nerds” but really, most kids at top tier prep school could be classified as “nerds” seeing as how smart you need to be to get in.

Viewbooks and websites are really biased! They may specifically choose prettier/hotter people to look more appealing and to catch peoples’ attention. And I agree with GoBigRed12 - nobody can answer because nobody goes to every single school.

From my visits…Deerfield. But I barely saw anyone at SPS and I barely saw anyone at Andover. But Deerfield beat Exeter…but when I think about it I barely saw anyone at Exeter either. But 85% of the girls I saw at Deerfield looked good…but they looked stuck up also.

At Exeter, almost everyone was wearing khakis/pullover fleece/button down shirts/etc. Not a lot of variety, but they obviously all looked pulled together, nicely dressed, not necessarily nerdy.
At Andover, there was a lot of variety. I saw kids in pajama pants, dress slacks, jeans, and athletic pants. There was no single idea of how kids dressed, except maybe they were a little more eclectic, with variety, than Exeter.
Choate was nice, during interviews and revisits. I saw colored jeans (an exception to the no denim rules), sundresses, slacks, khakis, skirts, short, button-down shirts, fitted t-shirts, sparkly dress shirts, polos, everything. Kids found ways to look however they wanted. I knew I could dress how I wanted to dress at Choate.

If you want hot girls, go to one of the preppy schools. The schools with the old money, good athletics, and lots of legacies tend to have decent people.

honestly. exeter wasnt bad. girls dress code was lax… i mean jeans? haha. the only thing is guys have to wear ties. other than that… haha
