<p>I think that that’s the case mostly for single sex schools to avoid sausage fest-ness at dances and whatever you’d call the female equivalent. Maybe co-ed boarding schools do it too, but, depending on the size of some schools, I don’t see why they’d do it.</p>
<p>Within the boarding school community schools do hold dances and invite other boarding schools, and those dances are pretty much always fun, since you get to meet new people and party with them.</p>
<p>exeter blew me away by the number of decent looking girls. I expected a lot worse but they’re not bad at all.</p>
<p>With the number of students they have at Exeter, it would be a shame if none of them were good looking</p>
<p>As long as I’m not considered ugly, I really don’t mind. As long as there are mostly decent looking guys plus a few really hot guys that I can drool over, I’m fine.</p>

<p>Get used to the idea that “social life” does not equal “hot girls.” Social life if about doing things with friends. Broaden your definition, or lonely you will be.</p>
<p>I was only kidding about attractive students… I watch the Daily Notice on Choate’s website, and that’s part of the reason I like the school so much- it has a schedule of different events each day. Like trips to NYC, or the SAC dances (student activity center, not sack), or free swim hours at the pool, or athletic center hours, or athletic games, or socials, or dinners, or plays and musicals and concerts and everything! It’s let me see just how much Choate has to offer me, every single day. That’s what I like, and what I mean, when I say social life. Attractive students are just a plus!</p>

<p>Definitely. I’m fine with saying goodbye to my boyfriend, but I’m slowly realizing how much I’m going to miss everybody! But I’m going to keep in touch… A bit, haha.</p>
