eh…jocks are OK…

LOL
This thread just made my day.

but it would have to be a really INTELLECTUAL jock, not an airhead. and nice. and sweet.

i think most guys going to these schools have to be pretty intelligent.

do people at boarding schools date students from other schools?

like when i go to sps is it normal to date a guy at deerfield or exeter?

Well Deerfields about 2 hours away from SPS …

If I remember right it took me about an hour to get from exeter to SPS also…even though they’re both in NH

those schools were just other examples. but thank you now I know how long it will take to get to those schools for sports :)

but back to the question: do kids date students at other schools?

Not usually. Dating between students in different Boarding Schools pretty much stopped when the schools went coed. There arent many opportunities for dates between kids at different schools. And on vacations when they go to their respective homes, its even harder. Sometimes but rarely students will have a connection at a sport event and chat online alot, without actually ever meeting each other again. The only exceptions to this are boys going back to NYC to the girls they knew since preschool. Since there are lots of opportunities to go back for weekends, minivacations as well as long vacations, etc, and 7 all girls schools in NYC and out of the 7 all boys schools, only 2 remain for HS level, alot of nyc boys date the girls they knew in middle school. This gives them an opportunity to become real friends with the girls in BS.

Lol well use better examples.

groton guys?

the guys I saw there were really hot but was it just the few I saw or our groton guys attractive?

I promise you, no matter where you go, you’ll be over everyone after a year. Everyone who was gorgeous freshman year still is senior year – you just don’t care anymore .Thankfully, every new year is like pressing the refresh button: New Lowers, New Uppers, New Seniors, PGs…

why would you be over them? it’s not like they get any uglier, right? ;a;

besides, i need someone to fawn over. school just isn’t as fun without it! : D

well said, DA. I don’t need a school full of hot guys, just a few that I can drool over for four years.

SsPixie17x is right
Trust me, after living with the “hot guys” for a while, they lose their appeal since you see them everyday

Haha, GoBigRed and SsPixie are both quite quite right! At first, both during the tours and then during the first few weeks when you don’t know anybody, the amount of attractive boys is rather shocking. But then you notice the cute baseball player in your history class picking his nose, or hear a cute waterpolo player ask an impossibly dumb question etc… They just lose that appeal as they become your peers.

Bump…pure amusement.

Hello !

This is funny stuff…

In my opinion, the girls at Middlesex were the best looking of all of the prep schools I’ve visited.

@ Ifax you think so… we don’t…

the general consensus among preps is that DA and Stgs have the hottest girls
and at suffield you will have the most fun, its pretty much a frat house…

and the avon-salisbury dances with the all girl schools are supposed to be the best.
