<p>there are parties its just that you will have to look for them. a lot of them are off-campus on streets such as atwood or beeler. </p>
<p>Oh and everyone says pitt has an amazing party scene. well it is more visible than cmu but its not THAT great. theres usually only like one or two parties a night at pitt. i wouldnt call that crazy like penn state or wvu or san diego state where the entire street is one big huge party.</p>
<p>People tend to forget about the like, three other colleges when they think of CMU. We arent just CS and CIT. There is also, the College of Fine Arts (including lots of pretty music/theater majors, artsy design and/or art majors as well as suicidal architecture majors), College of Science (in general pretty normal...ish) and Tepper (<em>shiver</em> Business majors scare me...). And no matter how weird or dorky the general population is, there are always outliers. Hell, one of the hottest guys I know is in CS!</p>
<p>And you definitely do NOT have to go Greek to party. I have partied almost every weekend this year and have only been to ONE greek event, and that was only because it was a friend's birthday.</p>
