Social Sciences at UCSB, UCD and UCSC

Hey,
I have just been accepted into UCD, UCSC, and UCSB and was wondering if anybody here has had any experience with the social science programs at any of these schools? More specifically Political Science and Economics as it is likely that I will be majoring in one or the other. In addition if anyone could tell me a little about Econ. or Poli. at any of the other UC's it would be appreciated. Thanks.

what about the global studies program at SB? anyone know anything about it cause i sure would like to

If you are looking at Political Science and Econ, UC Berkeley, UCSD, and UCLA are by far the strongest. I believe UC Berkeley and UCSD both have top ten ranked Poli Sci and top ten ranked econ departments. UCLA has a top ten ranked poli sci department, and I believe an econ department just outside the top ten. Some of the other UC's also have strong departments, just not as strong as these three. That being said, they are also the three most difficult UC's to gain admission too. Personally, out of the three UC's you listed (UCSB, UCD, UCSC), I would choose UCSB if I wasnt admitted into UCLA, UCSD, UC Berkeley. Best of luck!
