Does anyone know how time-consuming will sociology 1 generally be over summer? There's no discussion for it.

An unrelated question:

For biology majors (probably switching to neuroscience or molecular biology), is it a good idea to push most of the GEs (will have taken 3 before starting third year), language requirement and writing II classes to third and fourth year?

Or is this a bad idea? I haven't looked at the major courses I'll have to take in those years.

it depends. some GE's are ridiculously easy. i would save some of those for third and fourth year. some writing two classes can be really time consuming. upper div biology courses will also be time consuming (and infinitely more important to you). This could cause some conflict. But i don't see why you shouldn't be taking GE's in third/fourth year. in some of my GE's there were MANY juniors/seniors.
**Planning is key!!

Sociology 1 is one of the easier classes at UCLA. I don't know who is teaching this summer though, but people who take it during the year have plenty of time to party ...
