Sociology vs. Psychology

I’m not sure if i’m in the correct section of the forum, but regardless, I have a question.
I plan on transferring to the University of Colorado Boulder next year. This semester I plan on getting incredible grades (essentially making the deans list) so that I can have a better chance of getting accepted.
Making my schedule though for this semester has been a bit tough though, I can’t decide whether I should take psychology or sociology.
Both classes interest me and both work well around my schedule, the only issue is that many people keep telling me that sociology is an easier class, so i’m afraid of taking sociology because I feel like it’ll make my application less competitive due to having an “easier” class (though I do understand that the term is relative because sociology can be much more difficult than psychology).
I’m currently enrolled in sociology and start classes this Monday. Should I just stay in sociology and do well, or should I switch to psychology?

Honestly, in my opinion, either works and you should take whichever interests you more. It would be silly to think a difference as small as psychology vs sociology would change the competitiveness of your app, especially because they’re two different subjects. Even though they’re similar, they have many huge differences.

It’s like comparing apples and oranges.

(though this is just my take on it. I may be wrong, and anyone can feel free to correct me)
