Software Engineering at Drexel

I completed two years of school at a local community college, I had a good GPA and was offered almost a half scholarship from Drexel (I am hoping to get a little more somehow)

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me a little bit about their experience in the Software Engineering program? It looks like a great major but the reviews I have been reading about Drexel have got me a little nervous.

I was also wondering how hard it is to get a decent co-op? Is there ever a situation where the student is unable to get a co-op at all, if so what happens then?

Did you get 17k? I did, and I think that’s the max award for transfers as I had a 3.95.
I’m also doing engineering.

Mine was for 14.5k my gpa was 3.89 but I plan on commuting so that will just about cover half.

software engineering is a great major, and one of the highest paid if not the highest paid co-op salary and starting salary.

oo It’s probably because you’re doing the 5 year program? I signed up for the 4 year which is ~40k a year. But since the commute to drexel is pretty tough, I’m going to go to the other engineering campus in nj because it’s close and saves me money. But my scholarship was reduced to 10k.

Yeah that is probably why. I am about a 30 min train ride away from the Philadelphia campus so the commute wont be to bad.
