Software for potential architecture student

I am going to be a junior in high school this fall and am very interested in the field of architecture. I live in a small town with limited classes and resources to help me determine whether or not this is the right field for me. Is there any software that you would recommend that might help me explore this field further to determine my interest level? I'm good with computers, art, math, etc. and able to learn new software fairly easily (photoshop pro, etc.) I feel like I need to get some online experience to help me make college decisions which will come up very soon. I have looked a little at sketchup, but that's the only one. Thanks!

Stick with Sketchup, it’s used by about 80% of the designers that I know for conceptual work. Rhino with Grasshopper is considerably more powerful but also more complex. Probably worth experimenting with at some point. Finally you will need to learn Revit, but I certainly wouldn’t start there.

Thanks, Rick! I bought the student version of Sketchup Pro. Perfect!
