<p>I'm thinking about writing my first draft of application essay today. I need to know how impressive can an essay about my experience in my home country be (I'm not American-born) to the admission committees. Or it's really not worth mentioning in the essay since so many other applicants are already doing (have done) it that no longer makes it a unique topic?</p>
