i am filling out the online app for u of m, and what should i select for "Submitting my ACT/SAT scores date" section? i took both ACT and SAT before, and will be taking them in Oct. and I want to do the early response option. should i select two test dates(one that i took before, and one that i will be taking in oct.) for each ACT and SAT?
Also i took the AP chem test last year, but only got a 3, should i still submit this score and have the collegeboard send it to them?
Last question, my native language is chinese, but what details should i provide for "If you selected "Another Language" or "Two different languages" and you have attended school in an English-speaking country, please provide details below. Include country, dates schooled there, and any related comments." section?

Handy tip: If you ever have questions on an online application, refer to the paper one if you can find it, it sometimes provides more/different guidance.

The paper application says you should indicate the dates you have taken and will take the exams. So, I would follow the same directions for the online application.

Send the AP score. If you're applying to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (or School of Nursing, School of Art & Design, and the Division of Kinesiology, all of which use LSA AP credit granting policies), they grant credit for 3s in AP Chemistry IF you take a placement test and place out of the 100-level Chemistry classes.

The language question is pretty much them trying to gain a sense of how well you speak English (as well as how you may contribute to diversity). Indicate how long you've spoken English/been in a primarily English-speaking setting for, what school you went to, what country it was in, etc, etc. The "country, dates schooled there, and any related comments" are the details they want you to provide.

can i use a quote on my essays? i know these essays should be about myself, not other people, but the quote i want to use describes my experience.

Yeah, you are free to write whatever you want in the essays. As long as the quote isn't like a paragraph long, it would be a good addition to the essay, in my opinion.
