Some common app questions

Hey guys!

Just started working on common app (for Stanford SCEA...so excited!!!!) and I have a few questions. Firstly, when it asked to name awards, i was only able to list 8 state level awards before it told me I had the max number listed....what should I do cuz I have alot more to go? Additionally, should I attach an extra page to my app explaining my ECs in more detail bc they give you no space to do it on common app? ANY advice is appreciated!

Thanks,
Robbie

I would just attach a resume that contains the rest of the awards you’ve won and your extracurriculars in detail (if you feel you must explain them in detail; otherwise, you don’t have to do this). The resume is not necessary but clearly the Common App is insufficient in your case, so a resume would be great to showcase your accomplishments.

Yes, definitely attach a resume.

I’ve read NOT to attach a resume rather just a “continuation” of what you are doing activity, volunteering, and working wise. You are not applying for a job; you are trying to get into college.

A resume would just seem a bit too pompous in the admission process … that’s my opinion but defintely put things in the additional information if it does not fit onto the application.

im thinking about attaching a chart or something that has my activites repated but with more decription, but im not sure if that would be “to pompous”!
