Hello there, I have few quick questions concerning the SAT essay.

The first is if the essay prompt is always one in which there are two, justifiable sides of an argument, one of which must be defended. All of the official essays I've come across are like this, but I saw a McGraw essay prompt asking for "an injustice that exists and how to correct it." Are actual prompts ever like this, instead of having just a statement with two defendable sides?

The second question I have is if anyone ever uses counterarguments in their essays. As in, if you support one side, you use examples to show how the opposing viewpoint is false. I was told by my English teacher that these are good for general essays where a viewpoint must be defended, but is this ever used for the SAT essay?

Thanks for your input.
