Some Gen Q's

Hello Again!

I'm going to visit the campus around Sept. 15th-Sept 17 (Thurs-Sat)...but before I book the tickets...will classes be in session when I go?

And about the tickets...all I can get from Los Angeles to New Orleans is $258 roundtrip...does it sound like a good deal??

Is Tulane big on senior interviews?? Because I looked at their website and I couldn't find anything...

Thanks in advance to whoever replies. :)

Classes start 8/31 and I checked Academic Calendar for you and see no holidays or anything for your dates, so you should be set.

Sounds like a good airline price to me.

I don't think they're "big" on interviews (S got in with merit $$, no interview; but we did visit). If you would like to interview, call ahead and arrange one.

Good luck.

As long as you are making such a long trip (good fare, by the way),
you should try to arrange a change to meet with someone in a department of interest to you. If you have an idea of a major, I have found, with both my son and daughter, that this meeting is usually very helpful.

Of course, you should interview if you're making the trip anyway. But my son didn't interview--didn't even decide to attend until he was offered the DSA and Honors Program, so you obvoiously don't HAVE to do so. OTOH, if you are going to apply early enough to try for the Dean's Honor package--a great idea if you might qualify--then it certainly can't hurt to let someone in the program know that you want that in order to attend.
