...perfectly good way to spend friday.......is harvard the most over rated college or what? seriously, their admission decisions aren't worth the paper they are written on...

the people who get most worked up about harvard yale rivalries are often those anxious high schoolers who haven't yet been admitted to either school. lets not stoop to a low level, eh?

Hey! I'm an anxious high schooler who haven't yet been admitted to either school. ....and probably never will. Boo hoo.

filmxoxo has the right idea. Threads like these only let Byerly and his kind claim justification in what they do.

Bashing Harvard is usually a case of insecurity, which The Crimson, in its supercilious manner, greatly enjoys.

It sucks being the victim of "safety school" and "rejects!" chants, but the best response is none at all.

hah yeah I am going to Harvard and I have friends that are going to Yale, and I told them that I will not let the rivalry get in the way of our friendship. Sure, I'll root for Harvard unanimously over Yale and as a Harvard student I will be told to feel that Yale is inferior, but you can't forget that these are two of the best schools in the country.

Guys, only the losers at both schools take the rivalry seriously. There's more of a bond of friendship between the two schools than anything else. All the jokes are just that - jokes, and done only in jest.

This is of course, not without exception. Some of the threads and arguments on this board attest to this greatly.
