Some helpful information for all UC transfer applicants

Hi,

Here's an extremely helpful and authoritative source of information that I believe many of you will find beneficial as you're finalizing your applications, winter and spring schedules, and doing anything else to maximize your prospects for being admitted to your dream schools: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/transfer-admission-matrix.pdf

This document outlines the transfer admission policies of all 9 undergraduate campuses in the UC system. Questions such as the minimum number of units needed for transfer and by when are answered, when and when not to follow IGETC, and so on and so forth. The document is actually designed by the University of California to be used as a reference source for community college counselors in advising students on how to maximize their admissions prospects, so I strongly urge all applicants here to read it. I'm not a moderator, but I think it'd be best to refer to this document first before making a thread to ask a question about UC admissions policies. I think many of you will save time by reading this first. Hopefully, a moderator can sticky this, because this deserves to be stickied, but I don't know of any active moderators on this board, so I don't know who to contact. Maybe one of you guys knows. Until then, it'd be nice to bump this thread periodically to keep it up on the front page and also to contribute other helpful sources of information. I should also note that this document only supplies information about UC transfer admissions policies for the 2014-2015 school year. As such, it'll be outdated when the 2015-2016 school year arrives. I'll update this thread with the new set of transfer admissions policies when the time comes.

Anyway, good luck in getting into your dream schools, everybody.
