I am mostly finished the whole SAR but i have a few questions.

I took a few high school classes in middle school. How do I enter them in the SAR since my middle school is not listed.

It asks for you to enter the classes which you are currently taking, but most of the classes i am taking are dual enrollment classes, whch are still in progress. They do not give an option to say "in progress" for my dual enrollment classes as they do for high school classes. What do i put for the grade?

"High school courses taken prior to 9th grade must be listed on the SAR. Common high school courses taken in middle school include foreign language, mathematics, and natural science. All high school courses completed prior to 9th grade should be entered during the 8th grade year in the SAR, even if you earned the credit before 8th grade. If you earned credit before 9th grade, you will need to indicate your date of enrollment at your high school as one year prior to 9th grade so that you can input your middle school grades.

For example: As a senior this year, you began 9th grade in August/September 2010. If you earned high school credit before 9th grade, though, you will need to indicate that you began enrollment at your high school in August/September 2009 so that you can input your middle school courses."

^ From the SAR FAQ. I hope that answers your first question!

For your second question, I thought they had an “IP” for college courses? I just checked the SAR I submitted, and on mine I do have an “IP” listed in the Final Grade section. I would check again and see. Sorry I can’t be much help there!

Good luck, and hope that helps a little!

From the FAQ:

7.Do I need to include middle school/junior high school courses?
High school courses taken prior to 9th grade must be listed on the SAR.

If you earned high school credit before 9th grade, though, you will need to indicate that you began enrollment at your high school in August/September 2009 so that you can input your middle school courses.

Your first year in the SAR will be for “8th grade” which you will say was taken in your high school. So High School will be “8th” to 12th. Even if you took classes in the 7th, that would count, you would include those classes with your “8th” grade. In fact, the only classes that should show for “8th” grade are the ones from middle school that count for high school.

On your other question, back to the FAQ:

10.How do I input dual-enrollment credit?

If you earned college credit in high school or are taking dual-enrollment courses during your senior year, you must first indicate which institution(s) you earned or will earn the credit from. You will be given the option to select the subject area of the course. Enter the course code and name for the course (as reported by the institution) and how many credits you earned or will earn. If the class has already been completed, provide the grade for the course. If you are or will be taking the course during your senior year, input “IP” for In-progress for the grade. Make sure you also indicate the term you took or are taking the course.

Good Luck!
