<p>Hi everyone, im neelam and im 15 in a half years old.
Im wondering about my chances to get into duke,stanford,ucla,ucb,irvine or what so</p>

<p>Im the first person to EVER go to college in my family out of my dads 8 brothers and sisters and their kids im the first to ever have a chance to go to a college.</p>

<p>I went to a private school on and off i'd always transfer
Im a sophmore right now i just transfered back to a public highschool
theres not many kids here who are good in the academic area.
My gpa at the moment for my first sesmester is a 3.8 currently
and im in 5 different clubs
im doing community service
i couldnt run for class officers since i just transfered here
and i have a 3.8<----------- which im so stressing about
its alg 2 which is very hard for me
Im in advanced and pre ap classes they only offer one ap class for sophmores which i didnt want to get into since I couldnt do all of the summer homework.</p>

<p>I know im stressing over one B.
And its my first semester grade that colleges will look at
so i dont know what to do
can anyone advise me?!?!</p>

<p>One B won't kill you and the fact that you are a first Generation student should help you greatly when it comes to applying to private schools like Stanford and Duke.</p>

I think a solid B is going to ruin my chances
also i work at my parents restaurant
and i worked for my dad for his contracting business.</p>

<p>yah my math teacher doesnt offer any extra credit
i literally begged him for extra credit
but he said "tests are your extra credit"...</p>

<p>I had an A in math but then i got a B on the final which dropped it down to like a n 86%
so i dont know. </p>

<p>Im going to start taking SATs/ACTs
first thing my junior year for practice.</p>

<p>sophomore year is not the most important year.</p>

<p>you're not a robot. colleges accept this fact. get over it and try harder next time.</p>
