I know there are 2 Bio SAT II's.... Ecology and Molecular. But how exactly does it work? Are they two completely different tests? How/when do you choose which one to take? And finally, which one is harder?

I just need to know before I sign up (late already!) Thanks guys.

You choose E or M, if you choose E the last 20 questions I think of the test are Ecology based, if you choose M the last 20 are molecular bio based, other 60 questions are the same. You can leave off choosing which until you are at the testing center and you fill it the bubbles.

You have to answer 1-60, then you choose EITHER 61-80 OR 81-100. They have two kinds because some courses are molecular-based, and others are - you guessed it - ecologically-based.

They ask you which one you're taking when you bubble in the information like your name, address, etc when you're at the test center. However, they don't check which one you chose until you hand the test in. Therefore, I recommend not answering that question until you've looked at the test. Determine whehter the E or the M questions are easier for you (they vary by test) and then select the appropriate bubble on the front of the booklet.

I forget whether E or M is first... In any case, questions 61-80 and 81-100 are for E and M.

I think E is easier, but M is pretty easy, too, if you've had AP Bio. Personally, if someone took E I'd think it was because they weren't up to the (extremely slight) challenge. That's just my opinion, though.

i think the ecology test is easier, cause most of the questions are interpreting experimental data. also, it's easier to get a better percentile than the sat molecular
