Ok, I went to my counselor's office today because I had a few questions in applying for UMich and then she asked me if I had applied already and I said I started but not finished yet so she got the most dirtiest look on her face like I might as well not try applying because its way too late for me at a chance at Michigan. I didnt even know, I'm still in reach of the early response deadline so why am I freaking out?

Don’t panic. It’s September.

Have you shown your GC that the early response date is Nov 1, a month away??

Please take this to the U of M forum. You really won’t get good help here.

Actually, the OP got fine help.

you should have already applied for the BEST chance of admission. Not all hope is lost, but you better get moving.

Tell your counselor that he/she is an idiot. First of all it is September. Most people haven’t even sent out their applications to their respective schools yet, but most students interested in Michigan apply very early. Michigan has rolling admissions, so the earlier you apply, the better chance you have in gaining admission. I will urge that you start and send in your application ASAP, but don’t rush and submit an incomplete or undeveloped application, because that will hurt your admission chances more. Just stay calm, and put forth the best effort into your application and submit it before the November 1, 2009 early response deadline. Good Luck and GO BLUE!

She is ■■■■■■■■. The deadline is a month away

^
Show some respect.

^Thanks mom, are you gonna arrest me?

BTW, why would she ask if he applied in the first place when she needs to fill a recommendation out for the application…Of course the app isn’t done when she hasn’t filled out the counselor part.
