I made a 24 on the English Part in Feb. I have been taking practice tests and now I get consistent 30s and 31s. This is a great improvement but 5-6 questions always get me. What the hell can I do to stop these 5-6 questions from messing up my English score? I want a 35-36 in this section because it is one of the easiest to master, yet I can't seem to get every one right.

I'm actually in the exact same boat. Today, I just did the English Portion again in the Red Book and now am stuck at the 30. I would like this be answered :D

(I have a question here too, is it okay to do the English Test several times to see how accurately I'll do or am I just memorizing answers now? Also, if I am memorizing answers, what should I turn to for more real tests?)

I am gonna try Barron's English. If I can master that or get at least decent with it it should help raise my score up on rgular tests that are much easier.

Idk. I've used Barron's before and I've found it to be more frustrating. But I might go back to the library and get it to study with it again. I'm just wondering with that excess difficulty if it'll be worth it.

Well, I had just finished the Barron's English part on the diagnostic test, and I got a 25. Well I am assuming a 25. I had 57/75 right. That is higher than what I made on the regular ACT in February. I can't believe it but it seems like I am improving greatly in a short amount of time.

That Barron's test was hard though. At times I was like ***? I will review their English section and hopefully will be able to do even better on Barron's.

So far I have taken my Math and English scores from mid 20s to 30s. Hopefully in the next week I can do the same for reading and science and own that mofo. Hoping for a 32+ composite.
