Ok, I am taking the ACT in March at school. This will be the first time I take the ACT. I have about a month now and I haven't studied that much for the ACT. I am currently studying from the PR Cracking The ACT book, but I don't think I will be able to finish it in time. Do you have any suggestions on what book I should get that I could finish by March. I would like it to be something relatively small and not as big as PR or Kaplan books. I have decided that its either between Crash Course for the Act or ACT for Dummies book. I am having a hard time between which one to study from so if you could help me I would be really grateful. Thanks for taking the time to read my question!

Use PR. You'll have enough time if you want to. You really only need to review and take a few practice tests.

The problem is I am really busy and I don't think I can finish the 400 page PR book versus the 160 page ACT for Dummies book or the much shorter Crash Course for the Act book.

ACT for dummies and crash course really are not good at all.

I'm assuming you want to do well and the best way to do that is to take about 3 hours on one day and take a diagnostic test to see what you are good at. The PR English review is amazing and I'm sure the rest are also superb. After you take this diagnostic test, spend about 20-30 minutes every other night or so reviewing and then take another practice test a week before the really test.

I'm going to be writing a full guide for the ACT (I got a 36) and I'll probably have it out by March. Be sure to stop back and read it.

I would just do as much as you can on the PR book and not worry about it if you can't finish it. It's better to work through part of a really good book than all of one that's not as good.
