ok. What you need to do is get a mini fridge. You could even put a note on the big refriderator and have a reward. So if anyone tells you who took them and they had proof, you could get them to pay. Also, you could go around to everyones room and check their trash to see if they were the ones who took them.

I can’t just blow in peoples rooms and check their trash aha. I live in a residence full of 2 bed room apartments that each have a kitchenette. My roommate and I share a full size fridge. The freezer isn’t big enough for all of our stuff though. We have a communal kitchen with massive freezers where everyone stores the stuff they can’t fit in their room.

You have two kitchens and two refriderators. Thats cool!
Ok. I got an idea. Go around with a piece of trash and knock on each door and ask to use their trash cause yours is full. And then you can snoop and find out who it was without them knowing you are trying to see who stole your food.

my advice is just to buy your own minifridge. OR use these: [ThinkGeek :: Atomic Food Containers](http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/kitchen/9468/) ;D

aha you’re a sneaky one. That’s an interesting idea. I wouldn’t even know what to do if I caught him. Just be like *** you stealin my chicken strips for? and then go in his freezer and snag somethin I guess lol. Or I guess I could pretend I didn’t see it and then report him, I wonder if there’s a way to tie the box to my receipt, probably not.

What on earth are you and your roommate storing in your full size fridge w/ freezer that there’s no more room for a box of pizza pockets/chicken strips???

Well ya can’t store things that are meant to be frozen in a fridge. So the fridge being pretty big doesn’t matter. Freezers are pretty small on any fridge. I have a 4L tub of ice cream a box of chicken strips and a box of pizza pockets, 5 or 6 cans of concentrated juice, two buns of bread and a bag of fries. He has a box of chicken wings and some other box of Chinese stuff and a bag of fries. Believe me it doesn’t fit. In hindsight I probably should have stored the less desirable things like bread and juice in the communal but what can ya do lol.

Alot of food has the time it was made stamped on it with the date. I bet that would be good proof.
If you dont find out who did it, wait until everyone is in classes like in the middle of the day (or in the late morning) and take your stuff out of the group freezer and unplug it :)

^^Weird. I’m one of 3 people sharing my freezer and we fit everything just fine.

In the future definitely clear that out so you don’t have to use the communal freezer. The juice and the bread don’t even have to be frozen anyway most likely. You probably should move the juice to the fridge for starters. The bread I can understand better (athough I don’t freeze my bread personally).

And lol at the 4L tub of ice cream.

Side note: anyone else really sick of kollegekid offering “advice” on here when he’s a middle schooler? If someone was a jerk enough to steal things from the communal freezer, it probably means that they don’t keep food in there themself. So ruining everyone else’s food is 100% a dick move.

^Yeah, it’s getting annoying. Part of it is ■■■■■■■■, the other merely ignorance.

Try something with firecrackers.

I think the note is definitely necessary. Make it sound somewhat intimidating. Unlike with laxatives, you can be sure that the right people are targeted, and it’s a constant reminder on what not to do.

Also, definitely do report it to the RA. It’s too late to do anything about this particular incident, but what you really want is to ensure that it doesn’t happen again, right? One step towards this is to make the RA and everybody else aware of this incident so that people take action in preventing it in the future. It’s good to get everyone on board to send the message that such behavior is unacceptable.

As for the future: get a larger mini-fridge. :)

That’s messed up! But I’m not surprised someone stole your stuff, it’s a communal fridge…
I would seriously invest in a mini fridge… it’s worth it.
I would report it to the RA… and maybe you can ask if the RA can check dorm rooms for your food, just so you know who did it and they can be embarrassed for what they did.

haha, the salt suggestion is awesome
